This year my youngest granddaughter, Sierra Marie Varano, donated all the proceeds from her school craft faire to the Alliance for Nuclear Responsibility ($40.50). She made the crafts herself and generously thought of others. AND, as if that wasn’t enough to make me burst with pride, she decided to ask her friends to have their parents write checks to donate to the Alliance for Nuclear Responsibility, Surfrider and UNICEF instead of buying gifts for her 9th birthday party http://a4nr.org/articles/01.03.07/view.

Over the years the Alliance has received larger donations, but none that have given me so much hope for the future of our precious world.

In Peace and with an abundance of gratitude for this gift that will go to protect the future of my grandgirls and all the children, grandchildren and future inhabitants of our planet.
