NOW was intrigued by our community's never-ending efforts to make Diablo Canyon safer and more secure. They were alerted to San Luis Obispo legal cases filed by the Mothers for Peace, the Sierra Club and former Supervisor Peg Pinard by California's Attorney General.

Attorney General Bill Lockyer filed in support of a federal appeal to force the NRC to address security at Diablo Canyon before expanding onsite storage of high-level radioactive waste.
