A Message from Rochelle

A dawn of the New Year and a surge of humanity
resolved to begin an end
to California’s nuclear insanity.

With radioactive waste growing at each reactor
and permanent storage nowhere in site;
citizens are uniting to end this lethal blight.

First we begin with a study of the costs of this lethal material,
then a bill to end production is next in this serial.
Licenses expire in the mid-2020’s
and nuclear can be replaced with solar aplenty.

We ask you to join us, we know we can succeed.
For this is an Mission, which began with a seed.
The knowledge that electricity can be produced by tides, sun and wind,
will lead us to legislation we know we can win.

So 2006 is the year to gather our allies,
and stop the nuclear industry and all of its lies.
There is no place to store radioactive waste and no safe way to convey;
so its time to limit the production and replace in a sustainable way .
