SB 657 Home Page
This page is dedicated to Senate Bill 657 (SB 657).
The bill is authored by Senator Bill Monning (D-Santa Cruz) and the principle co-author is Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson(D-Santa Barbara).
This legislation will continue to provide resources to maintain the state’s Independent Peer Review Panel (IPRP) that is evaluating and analyzing PG&E’s seismic studies for the Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant. Currently, the funding for the IPRP would expire in November 2015, but the work of the IPRP will require more time and will need to be ongoing as new seismic revelations appear.
