Diablo Canyon License Renewal is ENDED
On March 7, 2018, Pacific Gas & Electric officially notified the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission that they were formally withdrawing the application for a 20-year license renewal of the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant. At the April 4, 2017 meeting , Rochelle Becker, executive director of the Alliance for Nuclear Responsibility asks the San Luis Obispo Board of Supervisors to support the request to have the CPUC webcast the upcoming hearings for the Joint Proposal to close Diablo Canyon. Subsequently, the CPUC agreed to provide the webcast.
